Lodge: Stella Maris An all inclusive lodge on the ocean side of the island all water sports are available right from the lodge. The Wednesday conch fritter and rum punch party is not to be missed. Long Island is located in the southern Bahamas. It is undeveloped and full of island culture. As the name suggests the island is very long and requires a car to get around. Cars can be rented right from the lodge. You can get there by flying into Nassau and chartering a plane or flying Bahamas Air.

Fishing: Surrounded by miles of hard white sand flats, Long Island is great for the do it yourself angler. I fished with a top quality guide in Docky Smith. We spent our time between fishing from the boat and wading. Even with less than ideal weather conditions, Docky was able to spot fish.
