Rainbow trout flies

Alaska Trophy Adventures a true rustic Alaskan Lodge. Comfortable cabins, good food, and a quality staff makes for a great lodge. Charley, Kevin and the staff worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed. The Lodge is set right on the banks of the upper Alagnak with rainbow and salmon fishing just out your doorstep. We caught 9 different species of fish during our week. While our focus was Rainbows, we caught our limit of Silvers every day. The river was medium size freestone packed to the banks with Salmon, Rainbows and Grayling.  Most fishing was done by drifting with plastic beads bringing numerous Trout, Grayling and Char to the boat all day long. When your were tired, as if you could be, of  Trout we simply pulled over into some slower water and caught Silvers, Pinks and Chums. No need to fly out, as the best fishing in the region was right out your door. When you needed more, the guides would run you up river to a hole full of Alaskan Salmon within site of the Lodge. Highlight of the trip was catching a Rainbow Trout on a Pink Pollywog while fishing for Silvers. I guess he thought it was a mouse.
