Favorite Memory: After a tough afternoon I get up on the front the next
morning and make a perfect cast to a single 9 lbs. Bonefish. He moves 2

Set on Andros in
Behring Point, the lodge sits just across the street from the dock. You can wake
up in the morning and look over the North Bight and see what the day will bring
as you sip your dark Bahamian coffee. Your host ,the Neymour and Mackey families,
are gracious and extremely helpful. Legendary guide Ivan Neymour and his son
Dwayne are always around to answer questions and provide tips for your fishing.
Tranquility Hill is one of my favorite lodges and some of my favorite people. The runs out to the
flats are short and usually smooth. These are not your entry level Bonefish.
They come in pairs or quads and your casting needs to be spot on. In early
December you will see more schools and the fishing is less technical, but also
the average fish will be smaller because the smaller ones will be more
aggressive. We went in January and had plenty of shots at bigger fish including
some double digits.
Frankie our guide told me one fish I had on for about 2
minutes was as big as he had seen in awhile. It was around 12lbs, but the hook
pull out on one of its long runs. The group we had down there was from Wild on
the Fly Magazine and we were filming for an up coming show. Be on the look out
this summer for us and all the big bones we caught on AlltheRightFlies
Bonefish Flies. I can not wait for my next
trip back. |
